We are quickly approaching that time of year that touches us all. At this time…
May Quarterly 2015
Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.
– Lewis Carroll
Do you feel the winds of change swirling around you at times?
I have been very sensitive and aware of my winds beckoning me more and more as this year progresses. I am not always sure of the specifics of what it is, but , I am finding that I am more trusting. I am allowing the winds to take me in little steps, towards a newer, expanded path.
I took a real day off last week. This is not easy for me as my office and studio are both in my home and on different levels. One of my muses is in the shape of a cat named Tucker. Tucker is very much my shadow at most times as I work/play. He is also quite vocal. Therefore, to “get away,” the other day, I packed a lunch, drove to one of my parks with different trails and paths to walk, and tried a new path. I do my best emptying, re-charging and finding new ideas when I am in the natural world. Spring, autumn and winter.
Now, in SoulCollage® parlay, these walks and paths in my parks are part of my community. When I practice SoulCollage®, I enjoy looking at all the friends, heroes, creatures, activities and mentors (living and passed), that make up my growing community. It gives me grounding, pleasure, and a feeling of wholeness. It also makes my spirit sing. Practicing SoulCollage® alone or in community, is not only fun but also profoundly steeped in inner growth and realization.
I want to share with you that I feel my life, which includes my professional work and play is changing, expanding, and refining.
Over the course of this year and next, there will be a changes to my website.
That is a work in process and progress; it will be an expression of who I am now, who I am still becoming and where the wind is guiding me.
In past Quarterly’s and articles, I have written about life changes, desires and goals being done in little steps. Eating more consciously to planning a major life transformation.
From changing an old habit that no longer is supportive to a new, healthier one.
Little steps allow me to fall, get up and see what I “tripped over” in life. It gives me time to re-think, re-plan or let something go. There are no mistakes, only learning experiences. These little steps make my plans do-able.
Collaboration is one concept that grows in my mind. I look forward to seeing what is possible with others of like mind in creative ways. Perhaps enhancing our professional lives by partnering in certain ways. I believe there is so much talent, inspired ideas and synchronicity around, that I would welcome sharing and benefiting from any alliance.
If any of this resonates with you, please let me know. This Quarterly goes out to many folks and perhaps the Law of Attraction will prove itself again! I am completely open and tilling my ground before I plant any seeds.
Much love,
Kas
Kass, so nicely written. I actually could imagine myself talking a walk along one of your paths. So nice that you can relax and re-charge. All great advice. Take care, hope you are well.
Margie!!
So good to hear from you.
Thank you for your lovely words and hope all is well!
I would love to get together with you sometime over the summer or….and catch up, laugh and share.
Let me know how this sounds.
Again, it is so wonderful when someone reaches out like this. Makes the author feel someone is there!
Much love,
Kas
Kas,
Another wonderfully written post. I may not always take the time to tell you, but I really have enjoyed each one.
This one could not go without a comment because of a synchronicity between a part of your message and a recent change for me.
You mentioned your cat Tucker being very much a “shadow” for you.
I adopted a new dog Monday. He’s six years old and looks like Toto in the Wizard of Oz. It’s been eight years since my last dog – Gizer who loved to be 17 1/2. I wanted to wait until I got a house again so I can have a doggie door. I was looking for a name for the new dog. I had several already to consider, but decided on “Shadow” because he’s always following me – like my shadow.
Of course when he takes me for walks, then I’m his shadow following him.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful writing with us.
Coach William
William,
I want you to know how very much your comment means to me.
I would love to hear more about your next path in your life and the life and times of shadow!
Hmmm, may be a book there William.
I have always felt, as you know, very lucky to have you in my life as a mentor and friend.
Maybe we can do more sharing in time!
Much love,
Kas
